We downsized from a large country garden to a tiny town garden and realised immediately there was no room for mistakes and the garden had to be right first time. So, we enlisted the help of Sarah.

Sarah spent a long time evaluating our personal tastes as well as our blank canvas which was just the usual decking and a lawn.

She designed something quite stunning and we are extremely pleased with our modern and relaxing urban space which we can enjoy all year round.

We are delighted with our new garden. Richard and Sarah listened very carefully to all that we wanted – a shaded patio for a table near the house, a sunken patio for seating out of the wind, a wildlife pond, a vegetable and fruit area, our established trees kept, lots and lots of flowering perennials and a joined-up feel to the whole garden.

They incorporated all of this and more into their design and patiently adjusted it as we voiced our opinions and changed our minds. They made many helpful and experienced suggestions for the planting and included my wish-list too. Once we had agreed the budget and the timing, Richard stuck to both. His very expert people completed the landscaping, pergola and paving work, cheerfully and tidily, despite the Beast from the East. I have learnt a lot from Richard and Sarah’s planting plans and it was wonderful to see all the new plants grow and blend together.

The garden is beautiful and inviting all year around, with structure and interest through the seasons and masses of flowers from Spring to Autumn. We would highly recommend Richard and Sarah as garden designers and as plants people.

Sarah redesigned our garden after we had a studio built. We were so impressed by her approach. She took time to get to know us and to explore what we wanted at our initial meeting - her skill, knowledge and expertise was very apparent from the beginning and we knew we were in safe hands. Sarah has transformed our garden. We now have a garden we love and enjoy every day. As well as the garden design, Sarah also created a planting plan demonstrating her amazing plant knowledge and vision. She did the planting herself, leaving clear instructions for ongoing care.

For the landscaping part of the project, Sarah collaborated with Sam of Grow Gardens. He was also very impressive and they made a brilliant team. Sarah oversaw the whole project from start to finish. She was always professional, approachable and responsive.
