willows and alderGarden Restructuring Through a Seasonal Cycle

Do you want your garden to be significantly improved but you don’t want the formality, disruption and expense of a full garden design and build?

This is how it works:
After filling out a questionnaire to assess your wants and needs, I run a critical eye over your garden and make some decisions: What needs to go, what needs emphasizing and what shapes we can introduce to the existing elements. We start work in the autumn and use the dormant phase of winter to restructure the garden. This is different from a formal design and build because we are working with what we’ve got and working as we go. Ideas usually evolve through working in the space. We might remove or reduce trees and shrubs, open out new areas for sitting, create new borders or train existing plants for effects. When early spring arrives we are ready to plant and sow in time for the growing season.

Fees: This type of work is very variable, we can work it in either of two ways: I can suggest a rough figure needed to achieve the changes you want or you give me a budget and I’ll work to it. Obviously the bigger the budget the more improvements can be made. Often an agreement between the two approaches is sensible.
